BETTY COX NAMED 2018 FRIEND OF THE FAIR

BETTY COX NAMED 2018 FRIEND OF THE FAIR!

The longevity of the Lincoln County Fair would not be possible without the countless volunteers that make it happen. Each year the Fair proudly names a “Friend of the Fair” acknowledging contributions of time, talent and treasure. It is our honor to name Betty Cox the 2018 Friend of the Fair!

Since the early 1990’s Fair week for Betty is one spent behind the scenes in a vital role assisting in the Fair office. From 1997 -2000 Betty served as Treasurer of the Lincoln County Fair Board. She worked in the banking industry during this time period so it was a natural fit. While she no longer holds the office of Treasurer, Betty still joins the Fair every year to assist the current Treasurer.
Working at the Fair is a family affair! Betty is married to Russell Cox, the 2003 Friend of the Fair recipient. Betty says she doesn’t like the heat, so helping in the air conditioned office while Russell was outside volunteering on the grounds was the perfect role for her.
Betty’s favorite memory of the Fair is helping people and having dependable people to help her.
Betty has truly been a treasure to the Lincoln County Fair and we want to express our appreciation and gratitude for all that she give us through her time, talent and treasure!

Congratulations, Betty!
